Minos transforms genomic variant calling, the process of identifying DNA mutations from sequencing data, into a decentralized competition where accuracy is continuously measured and economically rewarded.

Today, labs self-report accuracy with no independent verification. Pipelines go unchanged for years. Difficult genomic regions are excluded entirely. Minos replaces this with transparent, continuous, incentive-aligned benchmarking.

How It Works

Generate

The platform creates fresh synthetic genomes with hidden mutations every 72 minutes, unique and cryptographically unpredictable.

Compete

Miners choose a variant calling tool, optimize their hyperparameters, and submit configurations to detect the hidden mutations.

Validate

Validators execute miner code in isolated containers and score results against gold-standard truth sets using hap.py.

04

Reward

The miner with the highest accuracy wins 100% of the emissions. Scores are smoothed over time to reward consistency.
